Plaisir Sauvage

$250.00

Following on from my 2019-20 Homosapiens, 2022-23 ReConnect, 2024-25 Freikörperkultur

Sydney, I am working up a new body of work titled ‘Fleur Sauvages’. This series has its genesis

in the research study I undertook in London, Paris & Berlin.

Here, I engage with the material culture of the 1970’s Sexual Revolution to create pop art

pixellate collage which references groundbreaking artists such as Natalia LL, Pat & Richard

Larter, Martin Kippenberger, Betty Tompkins, & Tom Gallant along with contemporary women

adult film makers Erika Lust, Anna Brownfield and Rosie Rivett.

I believe that art should inspire, surprise, shock, expand, annoy & enrapture. Otherwise it is

interior design. This is especially so in this age of neo-conservatism where AI bots dictate what

is acceptable art on social media platforms. F*ck them.
